The Viking House is a majestic Norse and Viking Age inspired longhouse with turf roof secluding the building in the nature. The large cottage has a modern kitchen including multiple refrigerators, cookers and dishwashers to accommodate larger groups. The dining room is in Viking style with seats for up to thirty. The living room has wood burning fireplace in traditional Norwegian style, with unobstructed views of the adjacent lake and direct access onto an extensive terrace for outdoor gatherings.
The cabin offers warm views from the outdoor wood-fired barrel sauna and the hot tub that extend the cabin deck out into the scenic nature. The pond next to it offers a refreshing dip to strengthen the immune system.
With high-speed fiber internet you can combine work, recreation and wellness.
With a total of thirteen bedrooms and three shared bathrooms each with with several shower, and three separate WC’s the cabin accommodates up to thirty guests:
- 7 bedrooms have two single beds (the single beds can be combined to form a double)
- 4 bedrooms have three single beds
- 1 bedroom has 4 single beds
The cabin is also user-friendly for wheelchair on request.
The Viking House is directly linked to the impressive and historically significant Chieftain’s Hall, where traditional dinners, roasts and Viking style celebrations can take place.
Located further up the mountain from the main Huso Lodge, the Viking House is surrounded by nature, steps from a lake perfect for swimming and boating as well as trails for hiking, biking and cross country skiing, depending on the season. For larger groups looking to adventure outside by day and gather inside by night, the Viking House is ideal.
