Queen’s Cottage is a unique old log cabin at Huso Lodge, dating back to the 1700s. The cottage’s main quarters are part of Huso’s original homestead, yet have been transformed inside with an intimate bodega style kitchen with rustic touches of burned wood cabinets as well as custom built bed frames made from fallen wood in the surrounding forest.
Step-over door frames and a hidden “look-out” bedroom where kids can spy on their parents conversing the night away around the open fireplace in its cosy living room a floor below are just two of the many elements that enable Queen’s to retain its quirky charm. The cottage boldly blends the historic romantic peasant style of old Norway with touches of modern Scandinavian design, a combo definitely worth exploring.
Outside, Queen’s Cottage offers a secluded outdoor space with an exclusive wood fired hot-tub and BBQ grill, perfect for groups eager to gather and connect in nature. Further up the hill awaits a wood-fired fish-eye barrel sauna overlooking the valley – a magically visceral experience to awaken one’s senses in every way possible.
With a total of seven bedrooms, two bathrooms each with multiple showers and sinks and two WC’s, the cabin accommodates up to 15 guests making it perfect for extended families and friends.
With high-speed broadband you can combine work, recreation and wellness seamlessly.
